Technological innovations for the injection moulding of parts of great dimensions
Thermoplay SpA has developed a new hot runner system for the moulding of parts of great dimensions like bumper, spoiler, porter, for the auto bodies of car and truck, but also large parts of household-electric, pallet for the packing sector.
In this type of applications the use of sequential control injection allows to improve the aesthetic aspect and the mechanical characteristics of the moulded parts being controlled the welding lines of the material flow.
This type of applications usually demands a system with nozzles of remarkable lengths, in order to compensate the effects of the expansion of the hot runner.
An innovative system of joints that distributes the expansions inside the manifold, allows to use nozzles with a decidedly inferior length regarding the dimensions of the screwed nozzles which are normally used in this type of applications.
The Thermoplay system is supplied prewired with various configurations based on the specific demands of the customer and equipped with conditioning and electrical circuit, pneumatic/hydraulic system, simplifying the transport and installation of the system in the mould.
Another important aspect is the economization of this solution since it reduces the thickness of the nozzle plate and improves the capacity of the melt plastic from the hot runner to the mould cavity.
