Thermoplay ThSync PC based control unit

Overview
The new Thermoplay ThSync unit is a high level temperature control device incorporating ergonomic handling of several zones and the storage of parameters and operating conditions. ThSync uses all the benefits of single loop units with integrated CPU and thermocouple signal conditioning with those typically of an advanced supervision and control Windows® based software. Hardware is made up of an industrial heavy duty PC and flat 15” TFT panel interface.

Features
Settings are user friendly and can be applied to a single zone, range or group. A “Recipe” function stores for quick save and reload settings, batch based data and alarms, in different operating conditions. The charts of controlled temperatures and set points for each zone can be displayed both in dynamic or historical mode. Easy and reliable password authentication with different levels guarantees protection from tampering. T/C failure is automatically detected and warned, while the related zone continues to be controlled in “Manual” mode with the same duty cycle of the other zone average (of similar thermal behaviour). The synchronous pre-heating function eliminates heating differences of the various zones due to different heating rates of individual heaters, during machine start-up. No more empirically calculated delay in nozzle zones or low thermal inertia zones start is necessary to avoid polymer damaging. No tuning of control parameters is requested even in case of basic changes in load thermic characteristics, thanks to the “smart” function, used to automatically optimise the control action. The ThSync is preset for any further increasing of the zones number and connection to the same operator interface. Network connection is possible for remote control or technical support. The cabinet construction is robust and it is protected against dust and water (IP54).
