NEW SPECIAL NOZZLES FOR EDGE GATE INJECTION DL1B-DL8B

Many times it happens to receive particular requests from our customers. We are asked to develop special types of nozzles to find the best way to inject a part, or to inject in critical positions. Thanks to our long experience of more than 30 years we are able to study specific cases and find together with the customers the most suitable solution for critical injection moulding. Among the customizes projects developed, we present two nozzles that are particularly interesting for use in special application.

EXTENDED NOZZLE FOR ANGLED SIDE INJECTION DL-1B
This nozzle type for edge gate injection is mostly used for internal injection in critical points and when the shape of the moulding part requires the use of a small tip. This nozzle is also suggested when it is necessary to keep the heated part of the nozzle from the surface of the moulding part, in order to avoid spots and defects. Therefore it is suitable for internal moulding of plastic parts like caps, small parts and extended containers. Depending on the specific requests it is possible to personalize the distance from the injection point to the nozzle axis.

The available diameters are ø22, ø30 ø44 mm and the tip can be tilted by 30 ° or 45 °. They are generally used to inject materials like : PP, PE, TPE, PS, ABS and, with caution, POM.

EXTENDED NOZZLE FOR DOUBLE SIDE DIRECT INJECTION DL-8B
This nozzle type for edge gate injection is mostly used for internal injection in critical points and when the shape of the moulding part requires the use of a small tip. This nozzle is also suggested when it is necessary to keep the heated part of the nozzle from the surface of the moulding part, in order to avoid spots and defects. Therefore it is suitable for internal moulding of plastic parts like caps, small parts and extended containers. Depending on the specific requests it is possible to personalize the distance from the injection point to the nozzle axis. This nozzle is not suitable for injection of abrasive materials.

MULTI TIP NOZZLE FOR SIDE INJECTION OF TUBULAR SHAPED PLASTIC PARTS
The new nozzle developed by Thermoplay, allow direct injection the annular cavity wall, eliminating the traditional “tunnel” sprues, normally used in these applications. The nozzle structure is similar to the DN series allowing easy machining of the injection system housing, in the mould. In addition the nozzle is provided with double plastic sealing ring.
